The virgin daughter ofHas despised you and laughed at you;aZion
The daughter of JerusalemHas shaken her head behind you.
Against whom have you lifted up your voiceAnd lifted up your eyes haughtily?

And have drunk foreign waters,And with the sole of my feet I have dried up
All the rivers of2Ki 19:25 - Have you not heard1Egypt.
That long ago IAnd that from the days of old I had formed it?adid it
Now I have brought it to pass,That you should destroy fortified cities
And make them into ruinous heaps.2Ki 19:26 - Therefore their inhabitants were short of strength;
They were dismayed and felt ashamed;They were like vegetation of the field
And green shoots of tender grass,Like
And is scorched before it has grown up.2Ki 19:27 - But I
And your going out and your coming in,And your raging against Me.
And your arrogance have come up into My ears,I will put My
And My bridle in your lips;And I will turn you back on the way by which you came.
He shall not come to this city,Nor shoot an arrow there;
Neither shall he come against it with a shieldAnd build up a mound against it.
By the same shall he return,And into this city he shall not come,
